Thus, the word must have spread. Plus, many Rev. War Vets were given land in this general area of KY. Some sold their rights and some settled on their land. The Virginia farm land was beginnng to get worn out. Plus many had large families and the eldest usually inherited the home place and the others had to go elsewhere.
