GLASGOW - Janice Marlene Davis [photo], 63, of Glasgow, KY, lost her long battle with cancer on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011. She was called hom to God while in her home, surrounded by those she loved and held dear. Born in Yuba City, CA, she was the only child of Walter and Hazel Rowe. In 1967 she married Jerry Manford of Live Oak, CA and with him had the lights of her life; her daughters, Tamara, Christine and Denise. She was employed for many years as a member of the Yuba City Police Force, and then AAA insurance before retiring and making Glasgow her home in 1996. She attended Glasgow Faith Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her three daughters, Tamara Glazner and Duncan Cotton, both of Glasgow, Christine Vacanti and husband Joe, of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Denise Poynter and husband Nathan, of Glasgow; two beloved grandchildren, Ayden Poynter of Glasgow, and Mia Vancanti of Mt. Laurel, NJ; and a host of extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her cherished constant companion of 13 years, Buddy the dog. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to TJ Samson Home Health and Hospice Program, especially Cathy, Colleen, Elaine and Nancy for ensuring our mama's final journey was peaceful.
