EDMONTON - Steve Chapman [photo], 41, of Edmonton, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at 3:45 p.m. at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born Jan. 5, 1970 in Glasgow. He was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church in Edmonton, formerly worked at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Sulphur Well and was a correspondent for the Edmonton Herald News, writing the Sulphur Well News column. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Edwards Parnell, his grandmother, who raised him, Ruby Edwards, his grandfather, Wayne Chapman, two brothers, Anthony Chapman and Jackie Parnell and his father-in-law, James Dale Coffey. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Coffey Chapman of Edmonton; his father, Ricky Chapman of Brandenburg; his step-father Donnie Parnell of Columbia; his mther-in-law Virginia Coffey of Columbia; three brothers, Kenny Chapman of Columbia, Ricky Joe and Jason Chapman both of Brandenburg; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with brother Timmy Glass, brother Darrell Coffey and brother Pat Smith officiating. Burial in J. B.
