GLASGOW - Billy J. Staples [photo], 73, of Glasgow, died Thrusday, Oct. i6, 2011, at the Barren County Health Care Facility. He was born in Barren County, son of the late Seddie and Eunice Ballard Staples. Mr. Staples was a heavy equipment operator for the Tennessee Valley Authority and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. A veteran, he served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Glasgow. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margie Rowe Staples; and three children, Deborah Young (David) of Washington, NC, Joe Mark Staples (Maria) of Austin and Billy Butler (Regina) of Lucas. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchldren also survive. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
