    3. This company was made of of men from several south central KY counties. MARSHALL, R B, Green Co: Fought at Shiloh, Vicksburg, Murfreesboro, Rocky Face Gap, Resaca & Dallas, Dallas to Atlanta, Peachtree, Intrenchment & Utoy Creeks, both days of Jonesboro & in cavalry engagements. McKINNEY, Samnuel, Adair Co: Killed in battle at Shiloh, 6 Apr 1862. MAYZE, Joseph, Green Co: Died of disease at Nashville, 5 Dec 1861. MARSHALL, Henry, Greensburg: Killed in battle at Shiloh, 7 Apr 1862. MOORE, Mark O, Greensburg: Enlisted at age 12; was the "drummer boy" of the regiment until 9 Apr 1864 when he was discharged. NELSON, James W, Adair Co: Appt. Cpl 2 May 1863. Fought at Shiloh, Vicksburg, Baton Rouge, Murfreesboro, Jackson, Chickamauga, Mission Ridge, Rocky Face Gap, Resaca & Dallas, Dallas to Atlanta, Peachtree, Intrenchment & Utoy Creeks, both days at Jonesboro, in the mounted engagements. Wounded below Camdem Apr 1865 in the last fight in which his company took part. PEEBLES, R R, Columbia KY: Fought at Shiloh, Vicksburg, Murfreesboro, Chickamauga, Mission Ridge, Rocky Face Gap & Resaca; captured at the latter place but returned to the command at Newberry, SC & took part in the subsequent operations. PIERCE, James, Hart Co: Member of the 2nd Regt but escaped capture at Donelson & fought with this company at Shiloh where he was badly wounded. After his own regiment was exchanged he rejoined it at Murfreesboro. RUSSELL, A K, Adair Co: Appt commissary Sgt 11 Oct 1861 & was usually confined to his official duties till the close of the war, but took part in some of the engagements. RUCKER, Daniel, Green Co: Fought at Shiloh with this Co, was transferred 1 May 1862 to the 3rd Regiment. READ, James, Green Co: Killed in battle at Shiloh. SMITH, Jefferson, Green Co: Killed in battle at Shiloh. SMITH, D L, Green Co: Fought at Shiloh & Jackson; detailed for duty in the division commissary & served there till the command was mounted, when he took part in the cavalry engagements. SMITH, H T, Green Co: Fought at Shiloh, wounded there.l Fought at Murfreesboro, Rocky Face Gap, Resaca & Dallas; captured in a skirmish at Kenesaw Mountain, 20 June 1864. STUBBS, Frank, Green Co: Died of disease at Nashville 20 Dec 1861. SKAGGS, Fielding, Green Co: Fought at Shiloh, Vicksburg, Murfreesboro, Jackson & Chickamauga; lost his left hand at the latter & awarded medal of honor for gallant & meritorious conduct. SCOTT, B B, Greensburg: Employed as assistant surgeon soon after having enlisted & remained with the 4th Regt in that capacity until 15 Nov 18672 having bravely discharged his duty at Shiloh & Baton Rouge. THOMPSON, Alexander, Green Co: Fought at Shiloh, Murfreesboro, Rocky Face Ridge & Resaca; took part in the mounted operations. Wounded at Shiloh and Resaca. THOMPSON, Joseph, Grteen Co. Fought at Shiloh. TURK, Sam, Adair Co: Fought at Shiloh, Vicksburg, Baton Rouge, Murfreesboro, Jackson, Chickamauga & Mission Ridge; after this his health failed and he was disabled for further duty during the war. WILSON, William, Green Co: Fought at Murfreesboro & Chickamauga. Died of disease near Milledgeville GA 17 Feb 1864. WOODRING, W W, Greensburg: Fought at Shiloh, afterward disabled by disease & was discharged 5 May 1863. WHITE, John B, Green Co: Died of disease at Murfreesboro 10 Mar 1862.
