Name: Billy George Elmore [photo] Residence: Glasgow KY Born: 12 Aug 1941 Springfield, IL Died: Monday, 2 May 2011, residence, age 69 Had lived in Glasgow and Barren County for most of his life; graduate of Temple Hill High School and Western KY University. He taught electricity at Barren Co Vocational School for 10 years before returning to full time work as an electrical contractor with his company, Elmore Construction. He was a member and served many years as a Deacon at the Glasgow Baptist Church and most recently was in charge of the kitchen and the Wednesday night cooking teams. He was very active with Habitat for Humanity where he had served as past president and loved building the homes. He was also involved with Restore for Habitat for Humanity, and was an active member and past president of the Barren River Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed volunteering for Plaza Theatre and Far Off Broadway Players where he enjoyed helpuing to build the sets. He had also served with the 623rd, F. A., Kentucky National Guard. Survivors: Wife: Bonita Dyer Elmore Three daughters: Michelle Inman (Joey) of Glasgow, Elizabeth "Beth" Sheesley (Scott) of Glasgow and Gayla Seale (Ron Jr) of Orlando FL Two grandchildren: Weston Thomas Inman and Carsen Ann Inman Sister: Betty Denton of Glasgow Brother: Brian Elmore of Glasgow Several nieces and nephews Preceded in death by: Parents: Garnett and Minnie Humphrey Elmore Sister: Brenda Elmore Hunt Services: Noon Thursday, 5 May 2011, Glasgow Baptist Church, burial Glasgow Municipal Cemetery under the direction of A.
