"This Indenture made and entered into this 25th day of September 1830 between Thomas FELAND a Commissioner appointed by the Barren Circuit Court of the one part and Philip V YOUNG of the County of Barren and State of Kentucky of the other part. Witnesseth: That in persuance of a Decree of the Barren Circuit Court ordered at their September Term1928 wherein Philip V Young was complainant and William HARPER and Jeremiah HARPER were Defendants appointing said Feland Commissioner to expose to sale the land in said Decree Mentioned and in obedience to said decree said Commissioner did on the 22nd day of Novr. 1829 expose to sale to the highest bidder the land in said decree directed to be sold after having duly advertised the same according to law and Philip V. Young the Complainant Mentioned in said decree became the purchaser thereof for the sum of One hundred and thirty one dollars. Now therefore in consideration of the premises aforesaid and by Virtue of the authority vested in said Commissioner by said decree and for the further Consideration of one dollar to him in hand paid the said Feland doth bargain sell and convey unto him the said Philip V Young a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Barren and State of Kentucky on the waters of Little Barren River Containing One hundred acres & bound as follows, Towit Beginning at a sugartree and two dogwoods thence with the dividing line between John GARNETT and Edmund ROGERS 138 poles to a large poplar & dogwood in said line thence West 124 poles to three Beeches in Young's line thence North with said line 138 poles to a State in the line of the original survey thence East 124 poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold said Tract of one hundred acres to him the said Philip V. Young his heirs and assigns forever With all and singular the appurtenances therewith thereunto belonging and the said Thomas Feland Commissioner as aforesaid doth covenant & agree to warrant and defend the title of said tract or parcel of land until the said Philip V. Young his heirs and assigns against the claim of them the said William Harper and Jeremiah Harper their heirs and assigns or any person claiming by through or under them. In Testimony whereof the said Commissioner hath hereto set his hands and affixed his seal the day and date above Written. /s/ Thomas Feland Comr {Seal} Barren Circuit Sct September Term 1830.
