Name: Frederick W. Hodgman Residence: Rindge, NH Born: 14 June 1929 Nashua NH Died: Tuesday, 19 Apr 2011, Monadnock Community Hospital in Petersborough, period of failing health, age 81 Son of the late Frederick J and Myrtle (Sangher) Hodgman. He grew up in Lowell, Mass and had attended Lowell Schools. Enlisted in the US Army in 1951; served during the Korean Conflict from which he received the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars. He lived in East Rindge; employed as a mechanic at Hollingsworth and Vose in Groton, Mass for more than 32 years. In 1989 he moved to Cave City where he lived until returning to Rindge in 2005. He was an avid hand gun enthusiast and loved the out-of-droors. As a younger man he played softball with his sons in the Jaffrey Softball League. Married to Mary K. (Patterson) Hodgman who died 12 June 1995. Survivors: Three sons: Michael F (Suzi) of Oceanside CA, Frederick A (Anna) of Troy, NH and Paul J (Karen) of Rindge Five grandchildren: Carrie Ann Nichols of Battle Ground WA, Jason Hodgman of Troy NH, James Hodgman serving with the US Air Force in NB, Amanda Hodgman of Ashburnham Mass and Holly Hodgman of Rindge Five great-grandchildren: ALyssa Nichols, Josiah Nichols, Samantha Nichols, Elijah Nichols and Amani Hodgman Private funeral services, burial Cave City Cemetery by his wife.Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center in charge of arrangements.
