    3. Good morning on yet another Monday morning. A couple of things here. Henrietta Deale at [email protected] needs to know if the "Homecoming" at Mammoth Cave over July 4th is going to have any genealogy sessions? If you have any information, please write her and you might post to the list also. Next week will be an abbreviated posting schedule for me; I will be off-line Thursday and Friday due to a special wedding coming up! A small tip for the day: When reading the census records, you'll soon find out that the date of birth (or age) and place of birth can vary from census to census. Men usually aged gracefully by ten years and women ... well, sometimes they shaved off a few years! Whether it was intentional or if they actually didn't know their date of birth, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The same as to where the individual was born. Sometimes the location varies because of memory lapses, errors by the census taker or the town/community was originally in one state or county, but later was in another. If there is a drastic difference, you might ask yourself if you're looking at the correct person - or someone who shared the same name. Some variation is to be expected in those early census records but a drastic age change might mean you're tracking the wrong person. See you tomorrow - Sandi
