    3. Good morning as I get ready to drive to the bank. Thank you for all your e-mails re my warning ... it seems that quite a few of you have been "taken" by this scam! As a little tip before I leave: What is the difference between a land warrant and a land patent? A warrant normally meant that the individual was entitled to acreage of property without giving any real indication of where the property is located. They were just entitled to land. Most of these were awarded for military service. In The Revolutionary War, land in what became Kentucky was warranted to its soldiers and officers "south of the Green River" and in other locations. A land patent is the transference of a title on a specific piece of property to an individual. Sandi
