Cave City - Donnie Reed Byrd, 57, Cave City, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Barren County native was the son of the late Donovan and Betty Huff Byrd, a member of Servant Valley Baptist Church and a disabled factory worker. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Hatcher Byrd of Cave City; a son Jason Byrd of Bowling Green; four brothers, Tony (Alice) Byrd of Glasgow, Clifton Byrd of Glasgow, Carlos Byrd of New Orleans, and Gary (Kathy) Byrd of Glasgow and a sister, Donna Bowles of Glasgow. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel in Cave City with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 3 p.m. Monday.
