Glasgow - Vassie Ruth Wright, 90, of Glasgow died Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Glenview Health Care Facility. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late Marvin Dewey Morgan & Willie Hancock Eldridge and wife of the late James Wright. Mrs. Wright was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son Jeff Vance of Park City; a daughter Helen Brown of Park City; a sister Mary A. Bush of Haywood; 18 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandschildren also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her first husband Buford Vance, 2 sons James Marvin & Robert Earl Vance, her step-father Andrew Eldridge, 2 sisters Carolyn Pickett and Zelma Hare and 2 brothers Russell & J. T. Morgan Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
