Dodd deceased, plaintiff against Alexander Chapman, Deft.- Petition This is Haidon/Haydon Dodd. Gorin is attempting to settle the estate and these owed the estate money. The plaintiff James W. Gorin, administrator with the will annexed of H. Dodd deceased States that the defendant Alexander Chapman by his promissory note dated the 24th day of April 1861 agreed to pay said H Dodd the sum of Sixty two dollars & sixty two cents one day after date which note is filed herewith. Dodd , Decd. and warn him that upon his failure to answer the petition will be taken for confessed or he will be proceeded against for contempt, and you will make due return of the summons on the first day of September Term of said court. Dodd decd. Ootside: Same wording as above - charge was $5.25. Copy of note: "One day after Date Due to H.
