Author: sallynn Surnames: Hamilton-Buskirk Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.barren/6260.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have a John Hamilton in my family, in fact, I have several. I have a John B Hamilton b. May 11, 1878, d. April 5, 1920 and is buried in the Buskirk Cemetery in Buskirk Ky. The cemetery has changed name and is now called Hatfield-Buskirk Cemetery. There is another Hamilton buried there but I cannot find out anything about him. There are more headstones from my family there. One Sara Jane Hamilton-Ratliff. She was my dad's half-sister. There was another sister Nanny, whom I think is Nancy. They came from Carr Ky. My grandfather was William Martin Hamilton married Nancy Elizabeth Sparkman-Hamilton. Second wife. First wife was Jerusha Yearly I think she must have died. She was, I think from N Carolina. A guess because I can't find much on her. My grandparents are buried in the cemetery in Blackberry City a mile from Matewan WV, as well as most of the family. My uncle John is buried with his wife BerathaTensley-Hatfield-Hamilton in the Buskirk Cemetery. I have b! een researching forever and then I come across this John B Hamilton and I do not know where to place him. My grandfather's father was named John and his dad was a Robert. Going crazy here. Thank you for this sounding board. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
