    1. [KYBARREN] Looking for Info on Francis Marion Redford
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: annjleger Surnames: Redford Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.barren/21007/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am putting together a family history book and found Francis Marion Redford's 1927 obit here. It mentions that he was a grocer with his son Louis, in Glasgow, KY. I am looking for any information on him, the store, or when he was a dep. sheriff in Barren Co. This may have been between 1900 and 1925. Here's his obit, as found here in 2004 "Mr Frank M Redford died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Chas. J. Lewis, on East Washington Street, yesterday afternoon from heart trouble, at the age of seventy-eight years.Mr. Redford was a life long citizen of Glasgow and Barren County, and for the past quarter of a century has been a groceryman, well known and wellliked. His wife died only a few months ago, and his last remaining sister, Mrs. Parthenia Ford, died Monday of last week. He is survived by three sons: Messrs Harry Redford of Cincinnati, Geo. M. and Louis P. Redford of this place. Mr. Redford has been prominent in the life of Glasgow for almost his entire life; no one had more friends, and we believe we can say he had no enemies. He was a member of the Christian church and was faithful to his duty. He was perhaps as well known as anyone in the county and as popular. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mr L . P. Redford on Maple Driveway conducted by Rev. T. H. Alderson, assi! sted by Rev. Piercy and Rev Easley. Burial will follow in the Glasgow Cemetery."
