Glasgow - Doris Etherton, 84, of Glasgow, died Monday, May 30, 10211, at Barren County Health Care Facility. Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mattie Lee Houchens and wife of the late Earl Etherton. Mrs. Etherton was a homemaker and a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church at Beckton. Survivors include 2 sisters, Lavada Edwards and Helen Davidson, both of Glasgow; two brothers, Tony Houchens of Louisville, KY and WIllie D. (Mattie) Houchens and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Dickerson. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 .m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
