Bon Ayr - Bernice Dodson Coop [photo], 82, of Bon Ayr, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at her residence. Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of Samuel Thomas and Tensline Wood Dodson and wife of the late James Richard Coop. Mrs. Coop was a member of the Westwood Church of Christ and former owner and operator of Coop Auto Sales in Cave City, KY. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Kingrey (Allan) of Bon Ayr, 2 grandchildren, Amanda Fiessinger of Smiths Grove, KY and Joshua Kingrey (Sherry) of Corbin; 3 great-grandchildren, Justin James Robert Fiessinger and Benjamin Nicholas Fiessinger, both of Smiths Grove, and Gaberial Richard Taylor Kingrey of Corbin, KY; a brother, Clyde Dodson of Hodgenville, KY; a sister; Sylvia Logsdon of Louisville, and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Eugene Coop; a daughter, Vicki Mae Coop; a brother, Veachel Dodson and 4 sisters, Agnus Dodson, Margaret Lane, Beatrice Coons and Juanita Sturgeon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jun e6, 2011, at A. F. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bon Ayr Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
