Does anyone know how to find records for the following in Barren County; i.e.The Kentucky State Guard, 3rd Regt, Co. E. Who would I write for more details on this record? "From Commonwealth of Kentucky to Private W. E. TAYLOR, honorable discharge from the State Guard, Co. E. 3rd Regiment, State Militia Grantor DB(Deed Book) 22 p 153" 1885 I'm trying to see if the W.E. Taylor is William Esau Taylor and if so when he enlisted. What records I have found on individual's web sites do not list W. E. Taylor but it is apparent that he did belong to this unit for an honorable discharge to be issued by the State. Thanks for any help.
