GLASGOW - Modelle Williams Gentry, 82, of Glasgow, KY, formerly of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born in Monroe County, KY on July 29, 1929 to the late Thomas Jefferson Williams and Ella Blanche Froedge Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the widow of Hubert Gentry. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Jane Gentry Hagan and Steve of Tompkinsville; one sister, Inell Murphy of Bowling Green, KY; four sisters-in-law; Naomi Gentry and Evelyn Gentry, both of Tompkinsville, Beadie Williams of Glasgow, Maye Van Greer of Lexington; two grandchildren, Laura Caitlin Hagan and Stephanie Mairead Hagan, one great-grandchild: Ailey Grace Strong. In addition to her parents and hsuband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: James and Carroll Thomas Williams. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29 at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
