SMITHS GROVE - Carroll C. B. Lowe, [photo], 69, of Smiths Grove, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at his home. He was born in Barren County, the son of the late Nolan Lowe and Mildred Bishop Lowe of Smiths Grove, who survives. C. B. was a former [sic] and operator of Ben & Elmer Tractor Co. and was a veteran serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Oakland Masonic Lodge #563 and a member of the Lawrence Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife with whom he would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 26, Rebecca Hale Lowe; one son, Monte Lowe (Terrie) of Smiths Grove; two daughters, Lynn Graham (Carlin) of Bowling Green, and Joi Jones (Ricky) of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, David, Brent, Heather (Bo), Trevor, Austin, Sydni and Brooke; one great-grandson, Ty; and his brothers and sisters, Barbara, Melvin Ricky and Faye. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at A. F. Crow & Son Funral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday and continued Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time for the service. Masonic rites will [be] conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 7 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.
