GLASGOW - Keith Poindexter [photo], 64, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, as the result of an auto accident in Barren County. He was born in Cumberland County, the son of the late Herman and Mattie Poindexter. Keith was a former employee of Eaton and Dana Corp. and also J. M. Smucker Co. He had served as a chaplain for T. J. Samson Hospital and T. J. Samson Hospice and was a member of Shepherd's House Church. He was a veteran, serving with the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Kim Fowler Poindexter; one son, Chris Poindexter of Glasgow; two stepsons, Randy Clatterbuck of Atlanta, GA, and Jamie Scott (Catha) of Texas; a grandson, Caden Poindexter; and two sisters from Louisville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Shepherd's House Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
