Information that I have states that tax lists for Anderson Co. do not exist for years 1838 - 1880. My understanding is that duplicate copies of tax lists were to be sent to the state. If this is the case could the state be holding copies of tax lists that the county no longer has? Appreciate some discussion or help on this. Sincerely, Sam Silvey
