Thanks to all of you who wrote concerning my project of photocopying the Anderson County Marriage Bonds from approximately 1837 until approximately 1852. No, it would not surprise me if there are boxes of original marriage bonds for earlier and later years that have not been indexed. But one step at time!!! This project is going to take a little time. I estimate that it will take at least 4-5 large three ring binders to hold these bonds. I'm currently working on marriages bonds from the year 1842. I will copy of them, and then work on getting them indexed. I hope that I will be able to have all of them at least copied by the 11th of August as that is when school starts here and I also drive a school bus. Concerning the question of a Beers Map for Anderson County. Another project that I have been working on is to plot out the original land grants for Anderson County, so I have been looking for maps. I have checked all the logical places such as the state archives, historical society library and the University of Kentucky without success. Unfortunately, Beers evidently did not map all of the counties. If, anyone comes across a map of Anderson County for the early years I for one would be most interested in obtaining a copy. As always, if I can help anyone with information on Anderson County I will do my best to help. If, I don't have the answer I will try and find out then I will also benefit from the knowledge.
