Washington. John HARRIS purchased several tracts of land in the same area. In 1850 he bought a part of his father's land from his mother. A survey, containging 196 acres dated Nov 13 1856, was done for the owner , George GIVENS and the buyer John HARRIS, The survey shows a house on the property which overlooks the Salt River bottoms. This land and the two story log house was known as the Harris home place which still belongs to Harris family today.
