I now have the capability of doing the Anderson County lookups of marriage, wills and deeds from my home. (These are free) One thing came to light a couple of weeks ago that you should be aware of if researching in Anderson County. The marriage bonds from the period of approximately 1842 until approximately 1850 are NOT indexed. These bonds are loose, but are sorted by year. Therefore, if I have previously done a lookup for you and said that the marriage bond was not in Anderson County I may have been wrong. I can do these lookups, but will have to charge my hourly rate to search through the bonds during the above time period. It shouldn't take long, depending on the number of marriage bonds, but it is necessary to carefully open each and every bond ( and they are getting brittle) If, I can be of any help with questions, etc. let me know.
