I am attempting to link one of the DAVIS families are interconnected through marriage and as neighbors to my MILTON lineage in Prince William Co and in Nelson KY and thence to Shelby Co and perhaps Anderson Co. I am interested in two (or three? ) men by the Presley DAVIS who may actually be the same man 1) the Presley DAVIS in the 1830 Shelby Co. Census who married Nancy Milton on May 19, 1819 (and had a son named Taliaferro Milton DAVIS); this may be the same Presley DAVIS who had earlier married Susannah FOSTER in Nelson Co.KY in 1810. 2) the Presley DAVIS who as son Nancy MILTON and of Capt Jesse DAVIS (c.1751-c.1818 born in VA son of Isaac DAVIS) witnessed his father's will in 1818 and that of William DAVIS (his brother's?) in 1836; both in Nelson Co.KY. 3) There is also a "Priestly" DAVIS who married Ann MILTON in KY in 1819. Ultimately I hope to trace the lineage of Melissa M. DAVIS (b. 1834 in Anderson Co. KY and married Zack GREEN MILTON in 1854), maternal Grandmother of my mother Bessie MILTON (b.1906) I would appreciate any leads and would be glad to reciprocate if I can help. Byron Marshall
