He was named a Trustee to hold some land for the 9-children of my 8th g-grandfather Thomas Perry and Sara Bartlett Perry when they moved to Kentucky about 1790. As I recall , a John Herndon was usually mentioned in Spotslyvania records along with William Herndon and appears they were of the same family there.
