I've been looking for years for our Stephen's parents. I believe them to be Stephen and Magdalena Bruner of Frederick, MD, but can't seem to find any written proof, deeds, wills. Do know a little about our Stephen. He died sometime around 1825/26 Spencer Co., KY. The tax lists show him on Crooked Creek, Spencer Co., KY for the last time in 1824. There are no records for 1825/26. Then Sarah is on the 1827 tax list for Shelby co., KY. I'm sure you know Spencer and Shelby had an indistinguishable line. In 1829 Sarah is there again, in Spencer, with 4 children under 15 and over 4 years of age. Who is the 4th child?? Believe Stephen is buried in Mt. Moriah cemetery at Mt. Eden. I have been there twice. Edna Montgomery Burgin has an unknown Bruner, no dates, in her book, Spencer Co, KY Cemeteries - Then and Now.
