Charles Murphy Male Birth: About 1844 , Edgar, Illinois Christening: Death: Burial: This is why I thought this man may be the father of Brice Elkins Murphy.....T. L. Murphy. Does anyone know this man and his wife? Could Celia be nickname and the above be her given name? Just pondering here. I found this at FamilySearch. This family was in Illinois in 1850, but in 1880 is in Anderson County. Neither Brice, nor Almedia, nor Susan has any record of where they were actually born. The 1880 listing has a Lefler Murphy and Celia living next door to Brice and having their granddaughter Alice Parmer living with them (Almedia's child). Anybody have any thoughts on this matter? This seems to suggest this is the couple, but need to actually find out what T. L. stands for. Notice that Mary Ann Parker hails from Fraquier County, Virginia. Perhaps something to look into. I can't for the life of me now remember where, but I read that these two Tilman's are one in the same. Forgive me for rambling, but I'm tired and wanted to get this posted before I went to bed. Donnie
