I do think your family and my friend's family are related, somehow! Mercer was one of the original nine counties of KY. Maybe Anderson was created from part of the same area. I haven't checked, but I imagine this is the case. So families in one county could be the same families in the other. Happens a lot. Do you know the names of Jeremiah's brothers? Do you know where Jeremiah lived in 1800? The first name George certainly keeps repeating in my research. I have not seen the name William Phillips/Philips in my research, but I have not looked in Anderson County. I found enough confusion in Mercer! <g> Is George Phillips ( son of Jeremiah) who died 1838 Mercer Co., KY, the same one who applied for the mililary pension there in 1832? Thanks for your help!
