Before I found that William was my Richard Dabney's father I was searching for a link to the Richard Dabney Phillips on the 1810-1830 census. I found numerous deeds, etc. on this man. He was married to Mary Jane "Polly" Terrell. This couple left the Anderson/Mercer County area and moved to Clark County, Missouri around 1834 joining several of his children in that area. My Phillips line also had numerous family members that moved west in the early 1800s to Illinois & Missouri. You might keep that in mind and look westward for your missing generation. Good Luck
