They certainly intermingled in the same area, marrying the common names of Anderson and Shelby, but I just can't put my finger on that one person showing where they might connect. I'm supposing Brice was just a more common name at that time, since there were a few of them. The Brice in my tree that married Mary Jane Corbin has listed on his death certificate, T. L. Murphy, as his father. I was thinking this was the Tillman Lefler Murphy that was living next to him in the 1880 census, but a Family Search listing stated this man moved to Illinois and died. I'm wondering if there are any clues in Illinois anywhere? I'm wondering now if this T.L. might be Terrell, because Brice Elkins Murphy named one of his boys Terrell L. This T. L. Murphy would have been more of the age of your Brice Enos Murphy. Perhaps we should look at any connection that might be derived from that. This might explain how they all came to b! e living in the same area.
