    1. [KYANDERS] Heritage Quest Available from the Kentucky Historical Society
    2. Sharon Pike
    3. Heritage Quest has added new census indexes for the 1860 and 1920 census. This is in addition to the 1810, 1820, 1870 and 1910 indexes already online. These are exact spelling, head of household indexes which are linked to the census images. The images are enhanced so they are usually much better than the microfilm. Besides the census, Heritage Quest has a genealogy library of over 25,00 books, scanned, searchable, and downloadable to your computer. Plus, the Sanborn Insurance Maps for Kentucky (1867-1970) are online. You can use Heritage Quest at the KHS Library or, if you are a member of the Kentucky Historical Society, you can get a password to use from your home computer. You do not have to be a resident of Kentucky to join. The cost of membership is $35 or $25 for seniors and you can join online. For more information see the KHS website. www.kyhistory.org To join: http://store.kentucky.gov/kyhs/dept.asp?dept_id=2&parent_id=0 Sharon Pike SPike00@kih.net

He was a musician, and he and his brother, William performed on the showboats for a time. I am not sure how long. Family lore has it that he was also a gambler. He was probably both. I just can't find him after 1870. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.
