My earliest is James Baker b. ca. 1800 (John could be a brother??) The best that I can find there might be 2 Baker families in Anderson County at this time. The earliest documented Baker is Thomas Baker . He was here in the 1790's along Salt River. Anderson City road is Go west on Highway 62 to the community of Fox Creek , Once you go past Fox Creek church on the left , Anderson City road is on the right just past and across the road. Anderson City connects Highways 62 & 44 and the Salt River runs along the road a short distance on the 44 end. I have a small connection , John Sherwood married Mary Sale I am a sale decendant , She is not buried there but in the Sale Cemetary , She died about 40 years after her husband, Their children are at Fox Creek Cem.
