They were my great great grandparents. I descend from their son, Jim Rab (J.R.) HUTCHISON and his first wife, Margaret Bell BUNTON. I have a couple of letters you might find interesting also. One dated 1899 from Margaret Bell Bunton to her sister, telling of her forthcoming marriage to J.R. Hutchison. The other is dated 1916 or 1919 from Amonia Beretha HUTCHISON BOGGESS, (J.R.'s) sister, to my grandmother, Verna HUTCHSION (her niece) telling about her homesteading in Castle Rock, Montana. Her father was John Baker. She married John Raines (b. Dec. 29, 1810) on August 01, 1833 in Fayette County, KY.1850 The marriage bond was July 31, 1833. One response to my searches for information about them and their parents/families stated "I haven't found any Raines relatives here in Anderson County, but while exploring the next county over, Mercer County , there is quite a few mentions of this name." It is possible that John Raines or Rains was born in Mercer County. Are there any sources in the Harrodsburg Mercer County Historical Society & Library that may aid in learning about this family? This is my line's brickwall and we would appreciate any help. Either spelling Raines or Rains could be appropriate. Thanks John Alllen Raines
