    1. [KYANDERS-L] Josiah, Henry, Rueben, and Edward Casey
    2. Russell D. Casey
    3. I am looking for a Josiah Casey or Cayce who lived in Franklin County, KY from about 1810-1830. He may have moved to Shelby County KY by 1840. Josiah's father may be Robert Cayce from Virginia. Josiah may also be related to Charles Cayce/Casey who moved to Shelby County in about 1795. Josiah may be the father of my ancestor Henry Casey, born about 1807 in either KY or VA, who lived in Anderson County , KY. Henry married a Janetta Ethington/Edrington from Franklin County, KY Henry's son was Rueben Turner Casey who also lived in Anderson County, KY. My grandfather was Frank Casey, one of Rueben's sons. I am also looking for Edward CASEY who married Ellen HANKS. Edward died in 1899. The had a son named Edwin CASEY. Edwin was Lawrenceburg city attorney at one time. All three are buried in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Who were the ancestors and siblings of Edward and Ellen? I would be happy to share whatever I can. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Russell D. Casey

    1. [KYANDERS-L] Robertson or Robinson
    2. I am interested in any information I can find on any Robertson or associated names in the Anderson and Washington Co. area of Ky. My G-Grandfather was James E. Robertson who married Eveline Allensworth in late 1820s in Fredrick Co., Va. They had Alfred, John P and Richard before Eveline died about 1840. James next married Elizabeth Burton Harrison daughter of Garrett Burton and widow of John Harrison both of Shelby Co. who had 3 children. James and Elizabeth had three sons and were on the Anderson Co. census through 1880. John P Robertson 1835-1891 was my Grandfather and died in Edgar Co., Illinois where he owned and operated a tile plant. James E. Robertson I believe was the son of George Robertson a early settler in present Washington Co.,Ky. where he died in the spring of 1814. I have some information on the Robertson's of Anderson and Washington counties and will share and always interested in anything you can share on this area. John W. Robertson

    1. [KYANDERS-L] Hawkins
    2. Personal replies to [email protected] My family roots seem to be quite long in Kentucky and quite a bit in Anderson County, KY. I have Captain James Hawkins (1750-1819) m. Jane Bourne (1763-1842) who were bothborn in VA, married in Va but about 1790 or earlier moved to KY. Their only son James Morton Hawkins was born in Jessamine KY in 1793 m. Sarah Buntain McMichael in 1819, Franklin Co., and then died in Anderson County, KY in 1864. His son, Benjamin Hawkins 1830-1916, Anderson County and was in the Civil War, Union Army married Jane Bucy and then Anne Peach Murphy in 1879. He had 8 children w/ Jane: Minnie, John, Kate, Ida, Schuyler, Jerusha, Mary Elizabeth, Hardin. He had 6 or 7 w/ Anne: James Morton, Thomas Beebe, Alexa Logan, Addie, Dekalb, Mary Elizabeth (not sure on this child) and Benjamin (this is my grandfather). Sometime in 1956, James Morton - my grandfather's brother was still on the family land in Anderson County, KY - near Beaver Creek I believe by my uncle who wrote in down in the family papers when he was doing family history. I am curious if there are still Hawkins there. My grandfather moved away from KY to Louisiana and then back to KY and then back to Louisiana. In the one trip back to KY w/ his bride Maude Weekley the majority of his 8 children were born in Lawrenceburg, KY (1920s). By the time I was born, I never even heard nor saw KY. I didn't even know my GGF had 14 or 15 children. If any of this sounds familiar to anybody or anybody knows about the Hawkins of Anderson County, KY please contact me - personal replies to [email protected] Would love to find I have a whole bunch of family there. Thanks.

    1. [KYANDERS-L] Abandoned Cemetery Info-Census Info
    2. Ted and Natalie Matthews
    3. This cemetery was a wrong turn in my research but I thought I would share it with the list in hopes of helping someone else. Abandoned family cemetery found on the property of Walter "Spoonie" Majors in Anderson County, KY. The surnames are LILLARD, PHIRL, MYERS, AND JENNINGS. The dates range from the late 1700's to the Mid 1800's. If you would like me to e-mail the information from this cemetary, contact me at my [email protected] This cemetary was found also in an informal publication made up by a local resident years ago, but upon my rubbings and investigation the dates were inaccurate at times. Also, the Anderson Co. Library has a full photo copy of the 1860 Anderson Co. Census that you would ordinarily see on microfilm....and you will be pleased to know there is an INDEX with it!!!!!!!!!! I grew up in Anderson Co. but presently live in PA and was down for a visit last week. I was successful in finding a McQuiddy cemetery. If anyone is interested in James and Jane Perry McQuiddy...e-mail me. My Anderson County surnames are: McQUITTY, CARLISLE, SAWYER, RYAN, HANCOCK, BATES, BLACK, AND RANSDELL. Thanks! Natalie Matthews of Latrobe, PA
