I have a mystery that I am hoping someone can help me solve. I came across a death certificate for Susan Superior, born October 11, 1853 (her headstone indicates that her birth date was October 11, 1861) and died October 3, 1917 in Allen County. Her father's name was Enoch Buchanon and her mother was Martha Moody. Her full name was Martha Susan Buchanon. She was married to George Superior in the 1910 census and indicated that she had a child that was still living. There was no child listed in the census record. She was George's second wife. In 1900, George was married to Catherine 'Kate' Conner who died July 4, 1903. Now my mystery is: On her death certificate she was listed as Susan Superior and the name Willowby was scratched out. I have not been able to find her in the 1900 or 1910 census in Allen or Warren counties. Would anyone know if she had been married to a Willoughby? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
