It is with great sadness that I announce Allen Co has again lost a champion of genealogy and history. Martha Werst Jackson was buried on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008. Martha published many books recording Allen Co's documents and she had a true love of the area and family, although it was not her native home. KYALLEN List Members, We've lost another treasured friend....Martha Jackson. She'll be missed but never far from our thoughts. Over the years, many of us List Members at KYALLEN have been assisted with our Kentucky genealogical research by three amazing women..... Rosemary Harper, Mildred Jent, and, Martha Jackson. Each of those ladies generously shared their love of genealogical research and unselfishly extended their help and assistance to anyone in need in exchange for a smiling face or sincere thank you. Each one has passed away now leaving us with a wealth of genealogical information. How fortunate we've all been to have had them in our lives as we researched our Kentucky ancestors.
