Hi Mimi, Pam and I are kin through a Hardy line. Peter Waggoner married a sister of my following grandmother : I descend from David Harris that married Elizabeth "Martha" Hardy. The Hardy family originates in Charles and Prince George's County, Md before removing to Loudoun and then Bedford counties in Va. before removing to Allen County. My descent from Elizabeth " Martha" Hardy that marriied David Harris, who was a early Allen county official, is as follows: i. Joel Hardy Harris that married Sarah Ogles dau of William Ogles and Margaret "Peggy" Orr ii. James W. Harris married Louisa Agnes Guy dau of Larkin Guy and Frances "Fannie" Waggoner ii. Fannie dau of George Waggoner and Sarah Roberts iii. Sarah. dau of Charles Roberts, Jr. and Frances Langston iv. Frances dau of Joseph Langston and Agnes Ragland from Va and Nc to Ky. Charles and Sarah Roberts went to Logan County, Ky where they died. Pam's Peter Waggoner and my George Waggoner are not kin only the descent from the Hardy line. My George Waggoner's father was Leonard and that part of the lineage is unclear. But George wasn't born in Germany. He was in NC before coming to Allen County. I don't know if Sarah Roberts is kin to Robert McKinley Roberts or not. I have never heard of him but that really doesn't mean anything. LOL ! Hope this helps, Marianne Dillow --- On Fri, 11/14/08, Mimi Alexander <wallyjakeandme@msn.com> wrote: From: Mimi Alexander <wallyjakeandme@msn.com> Subject: [KYALLEN] Waggoner ? Roberts ? Guy ? Do they connect to: GEORGE WAGGONER, (d. 1854), born in Berlin, Germany, married SARAH ROBERTS, the parents of: FANNIE FRANCES WAGGONER, (d. 1837), who married LARKIN GUY, (1815 -1871), Three of their children were: NANCY E. I am guessing you know that those from Allen County went over the disputed state line that lasted a few years to Sumner Co., Tn. ... going back and forth. I also have others in my family lines that did this too. :) I have George Waggoner who married Sarah Roberts and he died 1854 in Allen County where he left his will. He came from Orange County, NC. Bingo, there is a Wagoner Hollow in Allen county. If this is indeed the land that my Peter Waggoner owned, then it really makes sense why some of his children married in Sumner county, Tennessee. One of the maps linked to USGS showed that the Hallow was 493 feet from 8275 Gallatin Road; 1527 feet south from 432 Carter Church Road, and 1593 feet north from O'Neal Road. Some O'Neals married into my Wagoner line. >From the satellite map I didn't see any buildings, but is anybody familiar with the area? I also didn't realize how close Macon county was until I printed off some of the maps. One of the maps also listed cemeteries; wouldn't it be exciting to find where Peter is buried? If you haven't done this before, I would definitely recommend doing so. I'm really excited about this information because it gives me leads to questions that I've just accepted they'll never be resolved. Pam Wagoner Oregon
