Researching William Lamb, born about 1799, married Sarah Wheat. William had a brother, Alexander Lamb; sisters: Sarah (Lamb) who married John Taylor, Barthenew (Lamb) who married Jarrett Justice, and Susan Lamb, who never married. They all came to Allen Co., KY. She was the daughter of WILLIAM RUSSELL, b. 1813, and, NANCY ALLEN. Did they come from Macon and Smith Co., TN? If so, then somewhere along the line, we probably have some of the same ancestors. Mine was the John Russell line. John was born 1778 in VA. According to my information he and a brother, Elam came to Smith Co., TN in the early 1800's. He died there in 1851, however it may have been in a part that became Macon County.
