Israel Strait 1839-1907 married Elizabeth Railey 1838-1913 Israel Strait was son of Grey Benjamin Strait 1808- aft 1880 (no one that I know has found his death date or location of burial) and 2nd wife Mary Elizabeth Stone.(no one knows anything about Mary Elizabeth except her name from various children's death certificates). One of their daughters married Robert Hardcastle (Martha is this your line?) Grey Benjamin Strait (my ancestor) was son of William Strait 1769 Isle of Wight Co VA - 11/3/1854 Allen Co KY and his wife Dorcas. William Strait was son of David Strait b. about 1740 unknown location - d. 1792 Wake Co NC.and Ann Briggs. Ann Briggs 1767-1785 was daughter of Edmund Briggs d. 1755 Isle of Wight Co VA and Hannah Ward 1726-1776 Isle of Wight Co VA.
