    3. Naoma F. Carter Naoma F. Carter, 92, Tipton, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Tipton Hospital. She was born on Jan. 28, 1917 in Scottsville, Ky. to Will and Anna (Spears) Frost. On Aug. 11, 1934, she married Earlin Carter. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1982. She was a member of the Kempton Christian Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Nell Jean and Don Lowry of Sharpsville and Sue and Phillip Tidler of Rotonda West, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law Earlin and Kathy Carter of Kempton; and a son Jim Carter of Kokomo. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Earline Sheilds, Palm Spring, Calif. and Iona Kimball of Seattle, Wash.; and a brother Murl Frost, St. Petersburg, Fla. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Friend; a granddaughter, Stacey Denham; and a brother. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton. Pastor Ed Smith will be officiating. Calling will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Kempton Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the charity of choice. Online condolences can be made at porterfh.com.
