    1. [KYALLEN] Census Occupation
    2. Just a bit of humor I thought you might enjoy; While looking for an ancestor's married child in the 1860 Macon Co TN Census, I couldn't help but laugh when I found her husband - sans family. The census taker must have either had a wonderful sense of dry humor, or was a pragmatic person of the highest degree. In recording Enoch Higdon's occupation, the census taker recorded - "Doubtful". 3. Very Funny! I have found so many laughable names and occupations that I have saved a bunch of them just for a good laugh. The best, was for permission to marry from a man named Bunch (Warren Co.,) written on the backside of a receipt for 120 barrels of whiskey. His daughters name? Honey! I found it on an old film from LDS library. Wasn't a dry eye in the place.
