Bev: There are RICHEYs in my tree also. Mary Polly RICHEY was born in VA in 1779, perhaps in Augusta Co. In 1798 she married Benjamin BENEDICT in Lincoln Co, KY, before the county was subdivided. I think her father was James RICHEY, born 1748 in Augusta, VA. The surname also appears as RITCHEY, RITCHIE and RICHIE.?There were several RICHEYs in Warren Co for the 1800 tax list.
