My 5th great grandparents are Solomon Hardy and Martha unknown. I descend from their daughter Elizabeth who married David Harris. Solomon Hardy's lineage has been proven and is as follows : (1) William Hardy (immigrant) died 1718 married Elizabeth unknown. Lived in Charles County, Maryland. (2) William Hardy died 1740 Prince George's County, Maryland. Married Ann Stimson, daughter of Solomon Stimson (Stimpson) and Elizabeth Finch. (3) William Hardy born 9 Feb 1720 St. John's Parish, at Broad Creek, Prince George's County, Maryland. Married unknown. (4) Solomon Hardy born ca 1746/49 in Prince George's County, Maryland. He married Martha unknown. Solomon lived in Loudoun County, Virginia 1757-1791. He moved to Bedford County, Virginia where his first deed is dated 1791. Martha died after a 1805 deed. Solomon's will was written 12 Nov 1824 and proved 23 May 1825 in Bedford County and the estate sale was 26 Jan 1826. Litigation continued to 1829. Solomon Hardy was named after his grandfather, Solomon Stimson and a uncle, Solomon Hardy born ca 1732 that married Rachel Livers, daughter of Arnold Livers and Mary Ann Drane in Maryland. In past research, there has been much confusion between Solomon Hardy born ca 1746/49 and his uncle, Solomon Hardy, born ca 1732 who married Rachel Livers. My next grandparents, Elizabeth Hardy married David Harris, moved to Allen county, Kentucky. David Harris died in 1842 annd Elizabeth ca 1851 in Allen County, Ky.
