I know you do and that is fine, it is completely a personal choice. I will add some info and addresses where you can read more about it and some Harrison info that is already out there. On the Harrison DNA site you will see "Lineage 28" that is some DNA on the family line of Thomas Harrison, brother of our Richard. I am working with a lady named Paula Willett, she is a descendant of Thomas. www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/h/harrison Required info: Requirements: A Surname Project traces members of a family that share a common surname. Since surnames are passed down from father to son like the Y-chromosome, this test is for males taking a Y-DNA test. Females do not carry their father's Y-DNA and acquire a new surname by way of marriage, so the tested individual must be a male that wants to check his direct paternal line (father's father's father's...) with a Y-DNA12, Y-DNA37, or Y-DNA67 marker test. Females who would like to check their direct paternal line can have a male relative with this surname order a Y-DNA test. Females can also order an mtDNA test for themselves such as the mtDNA or the mtDNAPlus test and participate in an mtDNA project. Questions? Not sure if this is a situation that applies to you? Want to obtain additional information? Contact the Harrison Group Administrator To join the Harrison surname project, please fill out the order form below. Your DNA test kit will be mailed tomorrow. https://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.aspx?code=D94493&special=True Here is the address of the Harrison DNA info. http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/harrison/results This is the home page of the DNA WorldFamilies.Net site. You can click on the catagories at the top to find out more info on doing the DNA tests and the costs. This is a copy of some info I got from Paula.... Dear All, This is to bring you all up to date on the DNA project. We still need to get other males whose surname is Harrison who descend from Thomas and Nancy Pack Harrison, to have the test run through the Harrison DNA site. I am particularly interested in finding a descendant of Richard and Rachel Dorsey Harrison. Here is the link to the Harrison DNA site. http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/harrison/results At this page we are Lineage 28-Thomas Harrison of Maryland . H-87 is the test result of Jackie Harrison a descendant of Elijah Harrison and Sally Sandridge through their son Robert E. Lee Harrison. H-89 is the test result of David Harrison a descendant of Elijah Harrison and Edney Watson through their son Miles Harper Harrison and through his son Yancy Harrison etc. We are Haplogroup E1b1b1a. We do not match with any of the Harrison ’s at the Harrison DNA site. We hope to expand the search through Y-Search http://www.ysearch.org/ At Y-search we plan to compare our DNA results with all other people whose Haplogroup is E1b1b1a I’ll let you know if we get a hit. In the meantime please know that the Administrator of the Harrison DNA site is John Harrison. This is Paulas e-mail if you want to talk to her.... pwillett@cableone.net There are lots of pages here to look at with lots of information. Take a look and if you still would rather not, then by all means, don't, it is fine!!!! Thanks, Sandy HOW ABOUT THOSE CHICAGO CUBS!!!
