Hello Allen Co. KY, list, Larry on the Warren CO. list suggested I try your list. My name is Joey Sidney Crabtree, and my grandfather was Pete Crabtree; b: 1883 in Pickett Co TN. D; 1941 Overton Co TN Wife; Vara Davis Pete had a brother named Brownlow Crabtree and I think he moved to Warren Co. KY. I do not know when. I believe my dad Sid Crabtree and I visited him in Bowling Green, when I was just a kid that would have been around 1950 or 53. If anyone has information I would be most appreciated. Thank you, Joey Crabtree Sterling Height, Michigan

Sharon, In one of our communications, you made mention of Mount Union general baptist church cemeteries. I had a relative interred in the oldest of these cemeteries about 1931. She has no grave marker. I wondered if the church has any record of burials including names and dates and also of location. Thanks, Larry

I just want you all to know that I have been driving myself crazy over this for hours this afternoon and evening while watching a nice series of movies on Turner Classic Movies - I have Finns married into my Patterson line and my Olivers married to my Hardcastles and I thought this would be easy . . . well, it's not. I really need to go to bed but I have added so many new cousins to my collections . . . Larry, I checked the 1880 census at _www.familysearch.org_ (http://www.familysearch.org) and Martha Jackson's 1880 transcription. The only 2 Elizabeth Oliver's in Allen Co b. 1863-1864 were: 1) Elizabeth, daughter of John Richard and Matilda Jackson Oliver 2) Elizabeth, daughter of William W. and Matilda Tabor Oliver (William W was her 2nd of 4 husbands) There were no Elizabeth's or name variants b. 1852. The 1900 Census for Thomas W. Pruit gives wife Elizabeth b. 1852, married 9 years. I'll let you know more tomorrow after I check the death records. In the meantime, John Richard Oliver 1837-1916 was son of Price and Frances Caroline Stubbelfield Oliver. Price Oliver was son of William and Phoebe Stovall Oliver who came from Pittsylvania/Halifax Co VA about 1800. William W. Oliver 1794-1869, first wife Susan Purr and second wife Matilda Tabor came from Caroline Co VA about 1833. I have not discovered the parents of either William Oliver. Sharon In a message dated 1/11/2009 6:26:05 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, FmlyTracer writes: Larry, I found Thomas W. Pruitt/Prewitt in my database. The 1900 census matches the information about the Oliver/Priutt marriage in 1891. However, there is a huge age discrepancy. In the census, Elizabeth is given as being born 1852. The Elizabeth Prewitt/Pruitt who died in 1930 would have been born 1864. I don't have access to Ancestry.com right now in order to double check my notes. I will try to get to the KY Library tomorrow to check the death certificate. I have a John W. Oliver in my database, wife Elizabeth Finney, but no daughter named Elizabeth/Eliza/Betty. I am CCing other Oliver researchers in the hopes they can assist. Sharon Tabor In a message dated 1/11/2009 4:31:42 P.M. The original minutes were stolen from the church about 7 years ago when their safe was taken, and fortunately just a few weeks before the church clerk had photocopied them for preservation purposes. He is the only one who has them. The information from the Liberty church minutes concerning marriages was transcribed by me from that document soon after the theft occurred to supplement the missing marriages at the court house. I placed that information online and at the courthouse along with other records. I have tried contacting other churches in the county to request access to their marriage and death records but with no success. I am currently at work and will check my Oliver database this evening and get back with you concerning. What specific information for Elizabeth do you want? Are you looking for John W's parents?
