    1. [KYALLEN] James Cemetery Indian mound
    2. Fellow genealogists and anyone concerned with preserving our sacred cemeteries, The History Channel and Time Warner are sponsoring a 'Save Our History' grant award for which anyone can go online and cast their vote. Voting ends THIS FRIDAY April 27th, so time is short. We were fortunate that our restoration project was chosen as a finalist. The JCOGS is the only genealogy society or cemetery project to be chosen as one of the five finalists, so I truly hope that you will go to the Time Warner website and cast your vote for the James Cemetery project. If awarded this grant, we will use 100% of the grant to begin installing an antique-style aluminum alloy fence around the perimeter in order to help halt further desecration of this sacred and historic burial ground. You can read more about our James Cemetery project at the Time Warner 'Save Our History' voting website. Please unite with us as a group of genealogists concerned about the ever-increasing destruction of our cemeteries by VOTING for us at the website below. And note also that ANYONE with Internet access can VOTE so please forward this email to your genealogy circle of friends and ask THEM to vote too! 1. [KYALLEN] George Brown, Dan Brown and Virginia Lafayette
    2. Fallin, Lance
    3. I'm very curious about Virginia Lafayette (for whom my mom was named after) all I know is Virginia Lafayette was married to Dan Brown and one of their children was my great grandfather George Brown (born 1885 in Scottsville, KY and died in 1976 in St Louis Missouri) and that George Brown (the son of Virginia Lafayette and Dan Brown) had worked and retired as a "foreman" (supposedly) on the L and N line and when he was alive he had told me that he started working for the L ansd N when he was 5 years old! However, I am more interested in finding out more about Virginia Lafayette at this point (I have one picture of her with Dan Brown) when they were really old.
