Hi Don, I am still working on David Harris parents. I do know Samuel Harris, Sr. and wife Esther unknown were in Prince William County, Virgina deeds starting in 1740. Samuel Harris, Sr. and wife Esther unknown had four sons named Samuel Jr., David, Joseph and William. Fairfax County, Va. was formed from Prince Willliam in 1742 and Loudoun County was formed from Fairfax in 1757. The Harris family were in all three counties. They were Quakers. I have not proven which son of Samuel Harris, Sr. and his wife Esther unknown my David Harris, whose will is on file in Allen County in 1842, descends from. It looks like I am still lacking a hook up of one generation. I have seen a book on Allen County which describes David Harris in Allen County and he was a county official. I think he was in Warren County as early as 1808 if memory serves me correct. I don't have data in front of me right now. I hope this helps. I will correspond with those who are seeking info on this family but I am stuck on which son David descends from of Samuel Harris, Sr and Esther in Virginia.
