Hello Sue, My husband was connected to the Taylor line, I have info on John and Sarah Lamb Taylor and those lines. I too have Susan Lamb with no spouse or children. I can help with this info if you want. Thanks for the siblings of Sarah, I only had Susan...I have some of all your names if I can help, I would be glad to try. Sandy Sue Carpenter G <spcarpenter5468@gmail.com> wrote: Does anyone on this list descend from the line of William Lamb, born about 1799, NC, Married Sarah Wheat. They moved from NC to Allen Co. Ky. Where William and Sarah are buried. William had a brother, Alexander Lamb, who moved at the same time Also making this move were sisters Susan and Sarah and Bethany/Barthenew. Sarah married John Taylor, but I don't think Susan Lamb ever married. William and Sarah's daughter, Rebecca, married Jackson B. Logan. He was the son of Joab Logan and Mahalia Bennett. Would appreciate any information on either of these two families, or ancestors or descendants. Hi Sandy, I know very little more about James Henry & Rebecca J. Miller. According to the list for Walkers Chapel Cemetery,( which is supposed to be 8 miles from the Allen Co./Simpson Co. line on Hwy. 100) James & Rebecca are buried there. James born Aug 14 1826,d. Sept 18, 1881. Rebecca b Aug 14 1836, d. Oct 19, 1878. They were living in Dist. 6 Allen Co. in 1870 census. James was a widower in the 1880 census, with his children in New Roe, Allen Co. Their son, John Henry, is my grandfather. When his father died, John was taken in and raised by Robert & Sally Dinwiddie. John married Emma Jane Guy about 1898. Emma Jane's parents were James Guy and Martha Jane Harris. Thanks for your help.. Velma On 8/12/07, kyallen-request@rootsweb.com <kyallen-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Bev: There are RICHEYs in my tree also. Mary Polly RICHEY was born in VA in 1779, perhaps in Augusta Co. In 1798 she married Benjamin BENEDICT in Lincoln Co, KY, before the county was subdivided. I think her father was James RICHEY, born 1748 in Augusta, VA. The surname also appears as RITCHEY, RITCHIE and RICHIE.?There were several RICHEYs in Warren Co for the 1800 tax list. There is also info about KY RICHEYs on Rootsweb Worldconnect. Lamont ________________________________________________________________________ AOL now offers free email to everyone. While on the subject of the Pulliam family does anyone know of a Ralph Pulliam who might still be living in the Allen Co/Scottsville area? He would be around 92 years old now. Sharon, While Kentucky did not issue Death Certificates until 1911, there would have been other recordings of person's demise two years earlier, in 1909. The local newspaper would have had an article printed about a person who suffered a horrible death, such as a suicide. Details would have been listed, and possibly a location for a funeral or burial. I wonder if the Baseball Archives might have more detailed data about the person in question? I would bet my last dollar there has never been more than ONE, Henry Pulliam holding those positions of office as described in the article. If this Henry Pulliam lived in Franklin County, KY, he may have been a member of a Church and records could be attained from the church. If you belong to www.ancestry.com<http://www.ancestry.com/> do a search for ALL persons named, HENRY PULLIAM, from Allen County, and see who comes up from about 1850 to 1900 in which children's names are listed under the parents. At that point, you know how to follow the trail. There are several Henry Pulliams who could have been the Henry in the article - I cannot find a definite death date for any of the 3. The Henry who was involved with baseball shot himself in 1909 (thanks for the article), so there won't be a death certificate as KY did not keep them until 1911. The Henry Pulliam listed in the 1880 Allen Co Census was the son of William "Dink" and Mary "Polly" Louise Owen Pulliam and he is listed in the 1910 & 1920 Allen Co Census, so that removes him as the Henry Pulliam born in Allen who was involved with the National Baseball League. Sharon, if the Henry that was born in 1866 is the correct one, and William and Mary are his parents, I believe that William is the son of Henry Clay Pulliam born in Barren Co., Ky on Aug 12, 1806 and married to Martha Thomas in 1830.
